Black Lives Matter

EducLang Statement in reaction to the ongoing protests against Anti-Black racism in the US

EducLang stands in solidarity with Black friends, students, colleagues and members of the community.

We want to express our sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones due to the violence and death suffered by Black members of the community in Canada and the US due to ongoing and pervasive racism. Systemic racism is something we must all consciously try to abolish. As educators, it is our responsibility to get educated and share information. You’ll find a great scaffolded list of Anti-Racist Resources here. We also encourage you to join in the Justice in June challenge – take 10 minutes a day to learn and reflect on what you can do better for your students. You can also visit www.blacklivesmatters.carrd.co to sign petitions, donate or otherwise get involved and show support. #BlackLivesMatter
